Agronomist specialised in Zootechnology from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. In 1997 she trained for a year at the École nationale supérieure agronomique, in Montpellier (France) with the Erasmus programme.

In May 1999 she started working, for a little more than a year, as an intern on Nutreco’s experimental farm at Casarrubios del Monte (Toledo, Spain), carrying out different experimental tests in fowl and swine. Next she started to work for Nanta, as a feed formulation and nutrition technician, being more involved in pig nutrition subjects.
