Radiation

Temperature can be transferred by conduction, convection or radiation.

Thermal radiation is the energy emitted continuously by a body, in all directions, in the form of electromagnetic waves without direct contact with any surface. The surface of the animal skin is constantly radiating heat to the outside.

For instance, a heating lamp generates heat that warms the room without the need to touch it.
