Secrete

It is the process by means of which a cell or a multicellular organism discharges substances to the outside. These substances are called secretions.

In multicellular organisms secretions are produced by some organs called glands. For instance, the salivary glands secrete saliva, the mammary glands secrete milk, and the stomach glands secrete acid.
