Urethra

It is the tube that connects the bladder to the external urinary meatus, through which the urine is expelled during urination. In the case of the boar it is also the tube through which the semen is expelled during the ejaculation, so this tube is shared by the urinary and reproductive systems. In the case of the sow it ends in the vulva, belonging only to the urinary system.

Not to be confused with the ureter, which is the name of the tubes that connect the kidneys to the bladder.
