Uterine prolapse

The uterus suffers an eversion and ends up out of the body, generally after the farrowing. Sometimes, the whole of the uterine horns can also end up out of the body: this is something difficult to solve and it entails the immmediate slaughter of the sow. This situation must be distinguished from the vaginal prolapse, in which only the vagina ends up out of the body and that can be easily solved.
