Brazilian pork exports decrease
Exports in November were the lowest they have been in 10 months.
Brazilian pork exports fell back with some force in November with the lowest volume in 10 months. The decline was related to the lack of containers and, above all, to the reduction of shipments to the two main destinations for the national pork industry, China and Hong Kong.
According to Secex data compiled by Cepea researchers, in November Brazil exported 78 thousand tons of pork, a volume 20.1% less than in October and the lowest since January 21. Specifically, 21,900 tons were shipped to China, a decrease of 41.3% compared to October's volume, and 9,700 tons were shipped to Hong Kong, a decrease of 26.5%.
