Total Spanish pork exports increase, shipments to China decrease
Spanish exports of pork and pork products to China decreased 9.4% in 2021.
Last year Spanish exports of pork and pork preparations reached 1,923,530 tons, according to the latest Cexgan data. This represents a 7.9% increase over the previous year, when they stood at 1,783,038 tons.
Among the destinations, China stands out, as it has for the last few years, continuing to be the leading destination by far, although it is worth mentioning that during the last year shipments to China decreased, going from 1,390,079 t in 2020 to 1,258,975 t. China is followed by the Philippines, which ranked as the second leading destination, surpassing Japan.
