Oliver Duran

Dr. Oliver Duran is a Veterinarian dedicated to the prevention of swine diseases through management, biosecurity and vaccination.  Currently, he is the Leader of the Global Swine Technical team in Global Strategic Marketing at Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health.  In this role, he is providing technical leadership at the interface between Veterinarians in the field, Technical Managers and scientists in Research and Development.

Dr. Duran received his DVM from the University of Zaragoza in 1990 and his PhD from the University of Liverpool in 1996.  His professional life has included working in mixed animal Veterinary practice, in Academia as an Assistant Professor of Swine Medicine at Michigan State University and as a pig Veterinarian in specialized practice and for a large pork production company.

Since 2006, he has been a Diplomate of the European Colleague of Porcine Health Management.
