Dilution factor

The dilution factor is frequently used in the preparation of Artificial Insemination doses in order to establish how much extender we must add to the obtained ejaculate. This factor is normally expressed with two numbers (1:4, for example). A dilution factor of 1:4 tells us that we must mix 1 part of the ejaculate with 4 parts of the extender.
