L'impatto di 6 anni di vaccinazione nei confronti del PCV2 sulla presenza virale e sulla immunità nei suini degli USA

La vaccinazione nei confronti del PCV2 è quasi universale: la presenza del PCV2 è diminuita dopo 6 anni di vaccinazione??, Potrebbero essere cambiate le politiche vaccinali...??? Il circovirus suino tipo 2 (PCV2) è l'agente causale della malattia associata al circovirus porcino (PCVAD-porcine circovirus associated disease), però richiede fattori ambientali per scatenarla. Nel 2006 vennero introdotti i vaccini nei confronti del PCV2 negli USA e furono adottati da tutto il settore suinicolo per controllare gli episodi di PCVAD. La vaccinazione nei confronti del PCV2 è efficace nella prevenzione della PCVAD, inducendo alti livelli di anticorpi anti-PCV2 e riducendo il livello di PCV2 nel siero, però non elimina il virus dal suino....
