Specialist in livestock artificial insemination by the Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Veterinarios of Segovia.  Member of the Spanish Association of Animal Reproduction (A.E.R.A.)

Graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Complutense University of Madrid.

Since 1995 Gil Pascual has been working as an consultant in the area of reproduction and artificial insemination. He has written several technical and popular publications for national and international journals.

As a reproduction specialist, he holds several patents:

  • Patent for a device for heating and keeping doses warm (± 0.1ºC) during the entire insemination process.
  • Patent for a post-cervical sow insemination system.
  • Patent for a post-cervical gilt insemination system.

Previously worked for PROINSERGA S.A. as a technical manager with various responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the research and implementation of AI for the company:
  • Pioneered the installation of AI centres on farms and externally.
  • Installation and start-up of a frozen semen dose bank.
  • Developed of a freezing-thawing technique that allows identical results to those obtained with chilled semen.
  • Managed 20 farms with a total of 6000 breeders.
