Llibertat Tusell Palomero is a researcher specializing in information systems at BDporc within the Genetics and Animal Breeding Program at IRTA in Caldes de Montbui, Barcelona, since 2020. She has experience in data analysis of different typology, implementation of predictive models and statistical inference. She has a degree in biology from UAB (2002), a master's degree in animal science and reproductive biotechnology (UPV-UAB, València, Barcelona, 2009) and a PhD in genetic improvement in animal science at IRTA and the Department of Animal Science of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV, València, 2011). She completed two years of postdoc at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Madison, WI, USA, 2011-2013) and was a researcher at the GenPhySE laboratory of INRAE for 6 years (Castanet Tolosan, France, 2014-2020). In addition to her scientific career, Llibertat is currently secretary of the Porc d'Or Awards Jury since 2021, worked as a project technician in the transgenic mice unit of Harlan Interfauna Ibèrica, SL (Sant Feliu de Codines, Barcelona, 2003-2007), and was technician responsible for artificial insemination in the former rabbit unit of IRTA (Caldes de Montbui, Barcelona, 2001-2003).
