Maurizio Gallo holds a degree in Agricultural Sciences from the College of Agriculture of the University of Padua and is registered in the National Order of Agronomists.

He has been working for ANAS - Associazione Nazionale Allevatori Suini - since 1993 and has been its Director since 2000. He is responsible for the implementation of genetic improvement and conservation programs for Italian swine breeds.

Delegate of ANAS within the European Organization for Pig Selection and Production (EPSPA).

Italian representative in the forecast group on pigmeat in the EU Commission. Member of COPA-COGEGA and DGSANTE working groups on pig welfare and genetic improvement.

He has published articles in national and international specialized technical journals and is the co-author of scientific publications.
