Since 1998, his career has developed in the pig sector. He has worked for a nutrition and for a pig genetic improvement company.

Member no. 954 of the Agricultural Engineer Association of Castile and León, and Cantabria.

Since 2000 he works as an independent technical consultant. He currently advises two multinational pig genetics companies, four multinational pharmaceutical companies, and a multinational animal nutrition company, as well as an important and large group of Spanish and Portuguese independent pig produccers.

He cooperates with farm design and construction companies in international farm modernisaton projects. He gives conferences for important production groups and companies in the pig sector, and he is a member of the jury that awards prizes to the farms with better production indices at a national level, with ministerial collaboration (Porc d'Or).
